Bob King
My name is Bob King
born in Kensington, Liverpool in 1932. I first went to sea in 1950 aged 17 as
a galley boy on the Arabia.
I then went on to serve on the Franconia, Empress of Australia, Ocean Monarch,
Queen of Bermuda, Asconia, Queen Mary, Empress of France, Empress of Scotland,
Edinburgh Castle and others.
If anyone wishes to contact me that would be great. I would particularly like
to hear from Gordon Southward who I have unsuccessfully been trying to trace

BILLYS
old BROWNIE SNAPS
I have been asking around for any of the ladsLADSok anyone who is still with
us if they had any pictures of the movie starsand important people who sailed
with us during the fiftiesthe only guy who seemed to have any was Billy Harrisonif
you look through this site at the pictures you will know that Billy has more than
anyoneit seems that he was the chronicler of our youth through the fifties and
sixtieshe gave me some that he could find out of the many hundreds he has melike
most of the lads never owned a camerathe couple of pictures I own from those
yearsother lads took themall five of them
Here are a dozen that Billy sent mewho knows. There may be one or two of still
around who will remember sailing with them
